The 16th century Beguinage between the St. Catharina church and the St. Wendelins chapel in Breda is the only beguinage that's still inhabited by beguines, religious sisters that live together in the court of almshouses and are financially independent. In the church a mass is held every day, which is attended by the beguines. The 63-year-old sister Frijters works as a geriatric helper in Breda. The 79-year-old sister De Leeuw sells cards and books about the Beguinage from her home. With comments (off screen) of Frijters and De Leeuw about their work.
